We finally did it! After trying for months, we recorded our server first invasion win on Christmas day! We were missing so many players due to the holidays, I didn't think we were going to win. But everyone clutched it, and we had our lil Christmas miracle in New World.

Unfortunately I forgot to record, this happens often when I'm shotcalling. By the time I remembered, I hit shadowplay and was able to get the last 7 minutes. My clip will show up with about 7 minutes left (Leholm). I was fighting and shotcalling from the ground, so you will get a different point of view. My vids are recorded in 1440p60 so apologies in advance for the different video qualities in this compilation. You'll get to hear my shotcall throughout the video, just from different perspectives.

With regards to the invasion, it was very fun and very hard towards the end. At one point we had 3 Sprigs and 1 Brute on a gate while the floating skull shot at us with lasers. For us we comped with 1 healer per gate, except the back gate got 2 healers. We had 1 mage per gate, and 3 tanks overall to work with. Rest were a mix of bow/spear, musket/spear, great axe/hammer, and some void gauntlets. We had 3 people on repairs. It was not the perfect comp, it was not a premade, we took everybody that were willing to signup on Christmas day. But everyone stepped up and played very well.

Ys server needed this win, we've been getting close for awhile now. But everything always falls apart in the last 2 minutes. Somehow we did it this time with all the gates still up at the end. It was amazing! If you are struggling to get an invasion win, I hope this video helps.

Initially we thought it was a mistake to put ballistas upfront. But in hindsight, the placement of ballistas were fine. You don't need ballista to hit the skull eyes. Your musket/bow can take care of the eyes. Ballista should be used to focus on taking siege down. You can hit the skull eyes with some of the ballistas so that's good enough.
