From 1950 to 1972 H & R Proscetta released a series of films, tapes, and cassettes with pronunciation guides for many tough words for both native English speakers and those just learning the language. These individual lessons, and there were thousands of them, have mostly been lost to time but, through the dedicated work of a team of researchers, some of these have been saved for future generations to learn from. I can only hope that you enjoy these time capsules from a bygone era.
