Hadrian's Wall Review — Box ticking makes me feel Roman
248A pen and paper Euro board game that provides a check box sheet chock full of resources and art! This way, your tabletop strategy can still be crunchy while also substantially cutting down on fiddly component bloat and endless kickstarter add ons. In Hadrian's Wall, players will draw cards that will provide both resources and victory point conditions. Then at regular intervals while using those resources to tick off boxes, the Picts will attack, meaning you'll have to develop your upgrades using a strategy that stations your defences well, on top of building a point scoring engine! But as usual with so many Euros, the rulebook and symbols may need some cleanup, especially for a game that's otherwise pretty easy to actually play!
