As far as mods go, The logic would suggest that older mods aren't as good as newer mods, Generally most mods nowadays (even Half-Life Echoes) have failed to impress me or be played much when I downloaded them, I always find myself going back to older mods and those mods are what I grew up playing in addition to Half-Life and it's expansion packs.
Azure Sheep is an 2001 mod that puts you in control of an Guard during the Resonance Cascade, Named "Just Barn", You've just been hired by the Black Mesa Security Force and are on duty when the disaster happens, Now you must find Azure Sheep the codename of your partner Kate.
Azure Sheep acts like an total TC as it adds new characters such as Barniel, An female security guard, Special Forces which are above the Black Ops, and Super Alien Slaves which are pink magenta in color, You have new weapons including an Pool Cue, M4A1 like from Aliens and the Beretta 92FS.
This mod is quite long, Most playthroughs (sans video) last me about 8 hours, The mod attempts to showcase locations you couldn't see originally in Black Mesa, The only issue I had was once you do find Kate you must escort her around similar to the escort quests from other games and that will wear on your patience.
