Half-Life: Opposing Force is the first expansion to Half-Life. Developed by Gearbox Software and published by Valve in 1999, it was critically acclaimed upon release. In this expansion, you are not playing as Gordon Freeman, but rather as General Adrian Shephard, a U.S. marine who gets trapped in Black Mesa during the resonance cascade.
