..And away we go, I have fewer parts this time for this playthrough, It's a lot of effort put in a few long days, Opposing Force opens with us surrounded by soldiers we will lose soon.. The events of Opposing Force start soon after Half-Life's chapter We've Got Hostiles but our action does not begin until the timeline catches up to Apprehension, In this new area of Black Mesa:The Santego Military Base, We find things have become..much..much worse then we thought, Most of our buddies are dead and Aliens are much thinker then they were in Half-Life.

We meet our first new Ally, Otis Laurey, a Overweight security guard who has the deadly Desert Eagle, We don't really do much with Otis at first, We also pick up the first new weapon:The Pipe Wrench, This is one of three new melee weapons that replaces the crowbar, It's more powerful but not as fast swung as the crowbar, We also grab the Combat Knife which is not as powerful as the Pipe Wrench but it swings really fast.

The crash site is not passable until we turn off the electricity, What Opposing Force lacks in map lengths, It places a LOT of traps, and new enemies in annoying areas, The Desert Eagle we get replaces the Revolver with a extra shot and as a bonus, A Laser sight so this Expansion pack starts off quite strong.
