Halloween 2022 continues with yet another game, this one being a 3D fighting game, Mortal Kombat 4, the first 3D MK game ever released.

I grew up with this game way back in the 90s, it was very VERY popular at the time, pretty much everyone I knew back then would play this constantly at whatever parties or hangouts we'd do at the time. I don't know every character completely but I always played with a handful of them, like Reiko, Shinnok, Rayden, Reptile and Scorpion, who were my favorites in this. MK 4 has a lot that is specific to well MK 4, it changes lots of the moves from the previous games which makes it a bit more difficult for old time fans and all that, but its actually got a better combo system and footsies in it than for example Mortal Kombat 3, and I got to say too that they ended up doing a pretty good job with the first 3D Mortal Kombat title, it could have went a lot worse than this, and looking back at it I think this is a good example of how they should have transitioned to 3D at the time which of course was a big deal, especially with Nintendo properties at the time too.

This version is the Nintendo 64 version, because its what i had at the moment and its the version I enjoy best, even though the controls clearly are horrible because the Nintendo 64 pad is one of the worse controllers ever made quite honestly it just doesn't work well with MANY games in its library. But anyway I enjoyed played through this again, its quite fun, I have fond memories of Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and 4 the most in the 90s, and also MK Mythologies Sub-Zero was fun for me as well.
