And we're finally here, to October 2022, Halloween, my favorite time of the year. Man its about time, this year had certain key moments that were quite good but especially after this shitty September its good to get around to something festive finally.

So this is Demon's Crest, a game I previously did a walkthrough for in the 2010s, I forgot which year that was, and it was beaten under 2 hours, this is under 1 hour approximately. I haven't played this since that walkthrough was made, and I didn't want to resort to the old staples I always upload during the Halloween season such as Legacy Of Kain or Castlevania, so I decided this Halloween to take a look at certain games that could potentially be added as hidden gem and also games I just haven't played in quite a while as well. What better place to start after all than a game I consider to be one of the best hidden gem of the Super Nintendo era, one that I grew up with, ued to rent it so much and managed to beat it, though I have never challenged its secret bosses like the Dark Demon for example, and all that, I did always beat it on a regular ending format.

This game is quite ahead of its time really, it has lots of stuff to it, Metroidvania elements full of exploration both in a overworld and in 2D platformer levels, with lots of hidden secrets, it has urns and potions as well to refill your life meter, different weapons, of course all those bad ass gargoyle forms, and a AMAZING soundtrack, sheer awesome with that, its like Johann Sebastian Bach on the Super Nintendo, fits perfectly on a more serious, bad ass Gothic game that is related to the Ghosts 'N Goblins franchise. Now I always wondered why did Capcom abandoned this gem, it could have such potential ya know, much like Maximo on the PS2, those were so well-made and the only reasoning I can find or know about Demon's Crest case is that Capcom most likely didn't want to either deviate too much from its key franchises in arcades with the CPS1 and CPS2 hardware or they quite literally did away with their 2D development as they moved well into 3D, much like it was a problem with great games they were making that were even sequels to beloved franchises, like Mega Man X4 or even Strider 2, which I've also played on this channel. Its a shame really on that, because overall these are amazing games that they were cranking up, and its a shame to see them not continue those great ideas as franchises, and especially of interest too is that Takayuki Iwaii the composer for Demon's Crest, he equally worked on Mega Man X4 which has a mixture of Anime and Gothic Science Fiction to it instead of the entire war scenario that they had for Mega Man X to Mega Man X3 which I've also played in the channel and love as well.

But anyway this is the first video for this Halloween, hope y'all like it. Cheers! Happy Halloween!
