Halo 3 (The Master Chief Collection) - Part 8
0Part 8 of Halo 3. I begin with The Covenant, which is the eighth campaign level in the game. Master Chief is on a new mission: to stop and kill the Prophet of Truth.
Master Chief and a team of ODSTs storm the beach as they begin to fight off Brutes and Covenant troops. A Pelican drops off a Warthog for the Chief and his squad, with them using it to drive up the hill towards the First Tower. Meanwhile, the Arbiter and the Elites arrive at the Second Tower. Battling forces of Covenant along the way, Master Chief and his squad finally make it to the tower. They enter the tower and clear out Brutes and Covenant while making their way up. Master Chief takes an elevator, eliminates a squad of Brutes, and deactivates Tower 1. Arbiter shuts down Tower 2, leaving Tower 3 the only tower remaining. It's up to Sergeant Johnson's team to shut it down. Sergeant Johnson and his team are taking heavy fire from Brute reinforcements. Commander Keyes tasks Master Chief and linking up with the Arbiter and heading directly to the Third Tower. The Chief heads back down using the elevator, clears out Grunts and Jackals with his squad. They get back to their vehicles, and head back to the beach. They meet up with Hornets and other Marines. Master Chief must take a Hornet and get the Pelicans safely to the Third Tower. He takes a Hornet, takes out Covenant vehicles in the air, and lands on Tower 3. Master Chief and Elite allies enter the Third Tower and take out a group of Brutes, a pair of Hunters, and a swarm of Drones. Just like with Tower 1, Master Chief takes an elevator and clears out a group of Brutes. He disables the Third Tower, taking down the barrier. As a slipspace rupture appears and High Chairty emerges and plummets down to the Ark, debris strikes through the Shadow of Intent's hull with a Flood dispersal pod breaking apart in midair. Part of the pod crashes through the window, with Flood forms emerging. Master Chief fights off Flood and takes the elevator back down. 343 Guilty Spark says they must contain the Flood, but Commander Keyes says that must stop Truth first. Master Chief links up with the Arbiter and Elites as they fight off Flood, then head back outside to clear out more Flood forms. Pelicans drop off a Gauss Warthog, a Mongoose, and a Scorpion tank. Master Chief takes the Scorpion as they head for the Citadel.
