Halo 3 (The Master Chief Collection) - Part 11
0I wrap up Cortana (the level) in the eleventh part of this playthrough. Master Chief has made it to the reactor room, but he must find Cortana and escape High Charity.
Master Chief has made it to the reactor room. Taking on various Flood forms, he fights his way through the reactor room and takes a door on the other side to enter a hallway. He experiences Cortana Moments and Gravemind Moments as he begins to reach the end of the hallway, entering the former Sanctum of the Hierarchs and finding Cortana lying in a statis field. Master Chief breaches the shield, freeing Cortana. The Chief has kept his promise to her. Cortana shows Master Chief the Activation Index from Installation 04, adding that she hung onto it just in case. She asks the Chief if he has an escape plan, to which Chief says he thought he'd try shooting his way out. Master Chief holds Cortana's data chip, Cortana uploads herself into it, and the Chief inserts the chip back into his armor. Master Chief returns to the reactor room and accesses the main controls, exposing the three remaining reactor pylons. Master Chief fights off a wave of Flood and destroys all three reactor pylons, causing explosions to erupt throughout the reactor room. Leaving the reactor room and racing through High Charity, the Chief fights off the Flood as he tries to escape. Cortana picks up a friendly contact and is surprised to see that it's the Arbiter battling Flood. She is amused by the fact that the Master Chief and the Arbiter are now fighting on the same side. Master Chief and the Arbiter board the Pelican and take off, and High Charity is destroyed. Master Chief, the Arbiter, and Cortana head to Installation 08. Sergeant Johnson says he'll land UNSC Forward Unto Dawn as close as he can to the control room. The Chief crash lands in a snowy Canyon, and he and the Arbiter get out as the Forward Unto Dawn approaches from behind the cliffs. Cortana asks what they'll do after they fire Halo, and Chief says they'll head for the Portal, and they'll all go home.
