I can safely say that this particular Halo Campaign has the most replay value going for it, despite the fact that it doesn't have any scoring, and there aren't any skulls, the game makes up for its gunplay, weapon design, and enemy A.I. I especially think it's essential for an *FPS* to have an effective set of weapons, and Halo: Combat Evolved definitely does its sandbox than just about any other Halo game after it, even if it's rather limited.
The soundtrack is amazing. Halo 2 might be better, but this is still in my top 3 Halo OSTs, with ODST being slightly above CE. Each music piece fits the area they're placed in, creating an immersive sci-fi experience.
The Covenant is represented well in this installment. The A.I. is definitely better here than the other two installments, and much more balanced by a long shot. There's no OP Jackal Snipers and bullet-sponge Elites or Brutes; that's a plus, too.
This description is becoming more like a review, so I'm going to conclude that I had a great (albeit, frustrating) time playing and recording my revisiting of Halo: Combat Evolved. It's a shame I didn't have the equipment to do a live commentary of it, but I think it's better without it. I hope anyone that watches these videos enjoy them, and find at least one thing useful in this playthrough.
