Most folks have been comparing the recent footage at E3 to the gameplay footage revealed last year, but that not entirely an accurate way of seeing the improvement since gameplay vs an in engine cutscene are two different types of footage. In this video, I compare the In Engine cutscene trailer of 2020 vs the most recent 2021 E3 campaign footage, both of which are labeled "In Engine." Here we can see a massive change in aesthetic, from a bright clean Master Chief to a war torn more serious looking battle armor and trailer. It looked good before, but now its next level.
