1International Karate 2000 is a remake of the classic International Karate which released back in 1985. This remake was released in October 1999 for the Game Boy Color. Developed and published by Studio 3 Interactive Entertainment Ltd., the game modernizes the original's martial arts tournament gameplay. Players compete as a new challenger in the International Karate championship, traveling worldwide to face off against local champions in point-based matches.
The game retains its side-view arcade fighting style but introduces several new features, including a health bar that affects performance, a round-based system, and redesigned graphics.
