Handheld Fighting Games of 95/99 - Power Quest
The Game Boy version of Power Quest was exclusive to Japan and released under the title Gekitō Power Modeler. The game was also released on the more powerful and recently released Game Boy Color under the Power Quest name, this release was for the US. A limited release in Europe would also follow in 1999.
Blending role-playing elements with one-on-one fighting mechanics, Power Quest follows a young protagonist who enters the world of competitive battle robots. Players explore the town, challenge opponents, and earn money to upgrade their model before competing in tournaments.
The Game Boy Color version retains all core gameplay features while taking advantage of the hardware’s expanded color palette.
