Handheld Fighting Games of 95/99 - Shaq Fu (Game Boy)
Shaq Fu, a 2D fighting game starring Shaquille O'Neal, was released for the Game Boy in 1995 following its initial debut on the Sega Genesis and SNES. Developed by Unexpected Development. and published by Black Pearl Software. The Game Boy version retained the core storyline of Shaq entering another dimension to rescue a young boy named Nezu from the villainous Sett-Ra.
Compared to other versions, the Game Boy port featured the same seven playable characters as the SNES edition but lacked a tournament mode and in-game voice effects. Due to hardware limitations, this version also omitted certain features found in the Genesis and Amiga releases, such as additional characters and stages. #gaming #videogames #fightinggames
