Way back in 1988 Konami released a Castlevania arcade game, an arcade game that until fairly recently, was mostly completely forgotten to time. Some speculate that this is because the game was awful, but I think its more likely due to the fact that it was sold as an unattractive arcade conversion kit as opposed to being a dedicated cabinet with all the bells and whistles.
