Rumors have been circulating for years that Yuji Naka harmed the development of Sonic X-treme in 1996 by withholding access to the Nights into Dreams game engine that the developers at SEGA of America thought was necessary to complete the game in time for the Christmas 1996 deadline. However, Naka denies this, and calls the story a bold faced lie. But who can we believe?
