I purchased this digital display cluster quite some time ago because the factory analog display was waay off on the speedometer. I finally got around to getting the thing installed and it is pretty straightforward for the most part.
The digital readout is MUCH more accurate. Still not 100% perfect but only about a 2-5% variance from real speed vs the factory which was 10-20% off from real speed. This digital display comes with new wiring, new speedometer/odometer reader and wiring and a harness that is pretty much the perfect length to reach back to the harness behind the motor. The connections that come on it are perfect and plug and play for the bike making it an easy upgrade.
You'll need an 8mm, 10mm, 14mm and 17mm sockets as well as a Phillips screwdriver and likely a zip tie or 2. All in all, should be right around an hour to upgrade to this. Looks much cleaner and is much more accurate.
So far the upgrades I've done to this bike are; Digital Cluster, K&N drop in air filter, air box modification, Sprockets, Chain, valve lash adjustment, LED Headlight, Iridium spark plug, Carb jets, new carb and Gel battery.
I also have an upgraded exhaust, however this didn't come properly fitted so I have to get it bent in a couple spots to work properly and is not yet installed.
