Heat Signature dev log at Stugan: week 2
Experience this video blog in Dual Perspective mode by looking at my glasses to see my point of view. Actually don't it's weird. Here's that list of things I might work on next:
Make ship generation support clusters better
Change ship generation to divide ship into 'Segments' to keep the challenge focused/avoid zoom problems
Keep adding new cool items:
Teleporter types
Nonlethal and ricochet guns
Hacking grenades
Add new types of defenses:
Turrets
Change security cameras to all be watched by one guy somewhere, take him out to disable them, shoot them to lure someone
Security robot?
Give Guards new armour types
Immune but can be knocked back
Heartbeat sensor: alarm if killed
Improve loot systems:
Put loot in mystery boxes, only revealed when open
Let you sell ships and weapons to save up money
Tweak shop prices/presentation to be more compelling
Work on feel and polish of existing mechanics:
Screen-shake on wrench smack / ship destruction
Trigger slowmo more intelligently
Let you aim throws
New Inventory System:
Bring up inventory to assign items/actions to left mouse, right mouse, middle mouse
Encourages you to plan and prepare for a fight, makes the fight itself slicker to control
