So yeah. This was one really interesting game.
Read this after you watch, this is what I think happened:

It seemed like some kind of a disease. The way the map kept losing land masses throughout the game, like those were the places the disease wiped out. The microscope and the sample disappearing, the pictures disappearing like mankind is fading from the world. Her lack of a face, she could be anyone, diseases don't discriminate. I looked up theories and found one like mine, and they pointed out a couple more things, like drinking lots of water and the fire being a fever. Apparently this game doesn't really have an explicit meaning, so there isn't a right or wrong answer. But that's what I think.
