Patch version: 01.002.105
Now that's more like it...those kill numbers are through the roof across the team, with those urban nests pumping out bugs like mad.
This time thought I'd try out the Double-Edged Sickle with Inflammable Armour to help mitigate the overheat damage. It ain't half bad as long as you're not on a hot planet, and even then you can always just reload when needed - in exchange you get some big sustain without any need for reloads and even some higher AP once you reach the higher heat levels. Perfect for those bug hordes.
I'm also taking the Guard Dog Rover and Quasar for a whole lot of firepower without a reliance on resupplies - you will need to supplement the Quasar with other sources of AT tho, which is where my Strafing Runs come in as my option for Impalers and crowds. As good as the Quasar is, it can't quite carry all your AT needs like the Recoilless Rifle can, but does the job well in combination with other strats / teammates.
Shout-out to my teammates on this one,@originalSPECTER, Adman25, and Mercurial - if you're looking to join us or other like-minded players, check out Warrior's discord: https://discord.gg/hu3x8VbnrM

Build:
The Double-Edged Sickle handles the hordes pretty damn well, though it does lack a little in stopping power - that's where Guard Dog Rover comes in for that constant extra damage to kill stuff before it can reach you. Quasar gives me a good AT option while keeping that backpack slot free, while stun nades buys me time while the Quasar is on cooldown. Grenade Pistol means I have my bug hole closer.
Taking extra AT is key with basically any AT weapon that isn't the Recoilless Rifle - any moment you have more than one heavy on you, the Quasar will struggle. The Strafing Run has been pretty damn strong for a while now since it was upgraded to heavy AP, and is especially reliable at killing Impalers.
I could probably take one more AT strike to help with heavies, but instead I went for Bug Breach clearing with the Orbital Napalm - an OPS would have gone pretty well too especially with Stun nades already in play.
