Herding catastrophe - Halo Wars Gameplay episode 4
Today me and the crew return to Halo Wars, a RTS game set in the Halo Universe several decades before the events of the original Halo game that follows the events of the crew of the Spirit of Fire as they fight to defend humanity from extinction at the hands of an intergalactic religious order known as the Covenant. In this episode, I explore inside the shielded area that my army broke into in the last mission, only to come face to death laser with a partially built scarab, that while it can't move it can still torch anything that is sees wandering about the map. To further complicate things, my one and only base's only protection from said scarab is a line of ruins that the scarab has to spend time burning through. Thinking that I have plenty of time I build up my force of heavy units, send recon patrols out to scout the area and wage a normal ground war against the enemy. Unfortunately I focus on the wrong things and the Scarab is able to torch the base while I am off fighting elsewhere on the map. For my second try I just focus on building and upgrading a few important vehicles which I send en masse against the enemy. Once again I am not fast enough as by the time my forces get to the Scarab, the Scarab's laser gets the my base. I'm going to have to rethink this one. Enjoy.
