Herdling is a story-driven adventure game developed by Okomotive and published by Panic. The game tells the journey of a silent child who wakes up under a bridge and discovers a mysterious creature called a Calicorn. After freeing it, the child forms a bond with the animal and begins to lead it back to its distant mountain home.
As the journey continues, more Calicorns join the group, each with unique appearances and personalities. The player guides the herd through beautiful yet dangerous environments, solving environmental puzzles, overcoming natural obstacles, and protecting the animals from harm.
A special ability called Stampede allows the Calicorns to surge forward, break through barriers, and escape dangers when energized by flowers found in the world. Between challenges, the player can rest at camps, where they can feed, heal, and interact with the herd, strengthening the connection with each creature.
The game features no spoken dialogue, instead telling its story through visuals, music, and the bond between the child and the herd. Herdling is about companionship, trust, and the emotional journey of guiding a group of creatures safely to their home.
