The new HP Victus series of laptops are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 H-Series processors. These are based on AMD's Zen 3 architecture that features a new 'unified complex' design that can hold twice the data as traditional split L3 cache. This is said to reduce the latency between the cores and can benefit latency-sensitive tasks such as gaming.

The two HP Victus laptops might look the same, but they are powered by two different AMD processors. The first is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 5600H that offers 6 cores and 12 threads. It comes with a base clock speed of 3.3GHz, which can be boosted to 4.2GHz when required. The other is powered by the HP Victus packs an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor, which sports 8 cores and 16 threads. Both these laptops feature RTX 3000 series GPUs and pack a 16.1-inch FHD display. The Ryzen 7-powered laptop offers a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Ryzen 5-powered device offers a 60Hz refresh rate.
