Heretic II (Action Difficulty) Walkthrough (Part 3: K'Chekrik)
0This is a commentated playthrough of the game Heretic II by Raven Software on the Action Difficulty for the PC. This will not be a 100% thing, but we will try to explore as many areas as possible. In this video, I play the third part of the game, which takes place in the Kell Caves, Katlit'k Canyon, and K'Chekrik Hive.
You can note all the differences from the first game. It's a third person action game compared to the first person shooter that was the first game. Corvus is now fully voiced by the actor Daniel Riordan, as well being joined by a full cast of characters to go along with him. A consistent narrative is throughout the game, and can be played as a singular, continuous experience rather than a series of levels scattered throughout episodes. For the sake of not making one extremely long video with a HUGE file size, I will play through the game in somewhat arbitrary portions.
For compatibility purposes, I am using the Heretic II Enhancement Patch. It comes with a new difficulty, Armageddon, but it's a bit buggy. It makes the enemies more spongier and also crashes in a specific area in Andoria. You can download the patch here:

I am also using _inmm.dll to play the music from the CD without actually requiring said CD to be inserted. You can download the program to use that here:

Just extract the CD music, and set up quake2.dll with the music tracks.
