Heretic II (Action Difficulty) Walkthrough (Part 6: Morcalavin's Inner Sanctum)
0This is a commentated playthrough of the game Heretic II by Raven Software on the Action Difficulty for the PC. This will not be a 100% thing, but we will try to explore as many areas as possible. In this video, I play the sixth (and final) part of the game, which takes place in Cloud Fortress, Cloud Fortress Labs, Cloud Living Quarters, and Morcalavin's Inner Sanctum.
No chickens were harmed in the making of this game.
You can note all the differences from the first game. It's a third person action game compared to the first person shooter that was the first game. Corvus is now fully voiced by the actor Daniel Riordan, as well being joined by a full cast of characters to go along with him. A consistent narrative is throughout the game, and can be played as a singular, continuous experience rather than a series of levels scattered throughout episodes. For the sake of not making one extremely long video with a HUGE file size, I will play through the game in somewhat arbitrary portions.
For compatibility purposes, I am using the Heretic II Enhancement Patch. It comes with a new difficulty, Armageddon, but it's a bit buggy. It makes the enemies more spongier and also crashes in a specific area in Andoria. You can download the patch here:

I am also using _inmm.dll to play the music from the CD without actually requiring said CD to be inserted. You can download the program to use that here:

Just extract the CD music, and set up quake2.dll with the music tracks.
