As of Tuesday, September 13th, Blizzard rolled out a new content update to Heroes of the Storm. It is called Machines of War and introduces the new Protoss hero named Alarak, the new Starcraft themed map called Braxxis Holdout and several heroes get some massive changes. Bribe has been reworked across the board while Butcher, Brightwing and Valla get some huge re-works. At first, I was very angry at Valla's new kit when I saw it on paper. I haven't played her yet but I played alongside a good Valla for 3 matches and he gave me hope. Valla was my go-to hero when I needed to snap losing streaks or wanted a game where I could control my destiny. I played a lot of Butcher too but it'd been awhile since I played him. His changes seem solid as he might come back to the forefront of melee assassin play. Alarak is kind of solid but does lousy against minion waves and PVE, sucks against high powered ranged characters and feels pretty squishy. That being said, I feel patient Alarak players with competent builds will probably do some amazing work on him. Braxxis is a fun map but when you first start playing it, you almost have no idea wtf is going on lol.
