'Hero's Theme 1 (Reluctantly)' - Dawless Modular Synth
3Hero's Theme 1 (Reluctantly) - Recorded 05/30/25
This is my first patch with my new Keystep Pro. I'm still learning how to use it, but I'm having a great time with it so far. If anyone knows of a way to trigger scene changes on both the Keystep Pro and Beatstep Pro via an external midi device, please let me know!
Voice 1 (main melody) - Cre8audio Chipz (both oscillators), with reverb from Mutable Instruments Clouds, mixed via Tiptop Audio Miso, sequenced/arpeggiated by the Keystep Pro.
Voice 2 (bass) - Erica Synths VCO2 (Tri and Pulse mixed/filtered through Dreadboxx Eudemonia), ducked by the kick drum via Make Noise Maths, sequenced by the Keystep Pro, with delay via Expert Sleepers Disting MK2.
Voice 3 (wailing droney part) - Mutable Instruments Plaits (orange setting #5), sequenced by the Keystep pro.
Drums -
Hi-hat/Clap - Erica Synths Drums, sequenced by the Beatstep Pro.
Glitch/noise - Gameboy (using MGP via an Arduino Boy), sequenced by the Keystep Pro.
Kick - Tiptop Audio BD909, triggered via Beatstep Pro, modulated using Pet Rock (clocked via 2hp Div).
Other drums - Volca Drum, sequenced by the Beatstep Pro.
Chopped drum effect - 2hp Slice triggered using an Atari 2600 paddle using X1l3 Port 2.
Sampled audio/glitches - Public domain news reel clip via Erica Synths Sample Drum, with effects via Erica Synths Black Hole DSP2, triggered by Beatstep Pro.
Other stuff -
Occasional extra synth voice (with lots of attack) - Erica Synths VCO, sequenced using 2hp Arp, using pitch from voice 2 as the root, triggered and ducked via Make Noise Maths.
