'Late Arrival/Early Departure' - Dawless Modular Synth
'Late Arrival/Early Departure' - recorded 06/01/25
I bought an Alesis HE-16:B drum machine super cheap last year, and I finally tried using it. It's got a decent collection of solid/cheesy samples. It's bulky (because it's old).
There's too much bass and the melodic voice really needed to be louder... This was like my 3rd attempt at recording this, and the first 2 were abandoned because it was too loud... I think I overcompensated. :/
Voice 1 (Bass) - Volca Bass and my son's BlipBlox, sequenced by Keystep Pro.
Voice 2 - Mutable Instruments Plaits, green #8 (the speech one) filtered through Dreadbox Eudemonia. Modulated by a Synthrotek S&H and Pamela's New Workout. Sequenced by Keystep Pro.
Voice 3 - Erica Synths Pico VCO with delay from Expert Sleepers Disting MK2, sequenced by Keystep Pro.
Drums - Tiptop Audio BD909, Erica Synths Sample Drum and Erica Synths Pico Drums sequenced by Beatstep Pro. Alesis HR-16:B sequenced by Keystep Pro. All of the drums go to a passive switched multiple - one destination is my mixer, and the other is a 2hp Slice, which goes into the Erica Synths Black Hole DSP2 before going to the mixer. Switches are flipped manually.
