Hideous Destructor | Counter-Strike ZDoom: de_dust | No Failure Run
It's surprisingly tricky to find a good SP Doom map that's themed around Counter-Strike, or at the very least uses its textures for the most part. Throughout my searches, I've found maybe two. One's a mapset that's a bit rough and then this one.
Even this one's pretty flawed as well. There's only 3 maps in this mod (had to wiretear it first, of course), and only the first one is worth a run with the setup today. The second map is pretty much the first map but with a few more stuff + the skybox being set at night. The third map would be pretty promising, if not for the extremely low enemy count. So yeah, I'll probably only run this map for now.
There is another mapset that had more maps to play around with, but it's an MP one. I guess I could edit it, add some map exits, randomly pepper enemies, and then play through that, but it's gonna take a while to do that. Some of the maps are very much designed for DM, big open and circular, so I'm not sure how that'll work out as well, we'll see if I do manage to cobble up stuff from that.
