Hideous Destructor | Doomworld Mega Project 2021: Obsidian | No Failure Run
I expected this to not take so long. Bit of a small map, 60-something enemies. No biggie, right? Well, let's just say the introduction of 3 archies into the mix complicated matters a notch. I think by the end of the map, I had gotten nearly 200-something enemies? Fair bit more than the start, one might say.
Wanted to mix up the themed runs again, so I used another one that I haven't used in a while, the Serious Sam reskin set. Also used the Quake one to fill in some of the blanks that I haven't quite gotten around sorting yet, probably 'cause early SSams don't really have that much things that'll fill HDest's item roster.
I was gonna use the Egypt map retexture, but found that it didn't quite improve the aesthetic as much as I'd hoped. Ended up using the Hexen 2 one, which looks a notch better. The map itself is surprisingly beatable, despite the resistance here. I'm glad that even though there's archies here, the rest of the hostiles are somewhat manageable enough that I can take the time to deal with atleast 1 archie curse.
