Here Amata takes a look at Highborn, a casual indie turn based strategy recently out on Steam. This game has a very silly, tongue in cheek comedy style to the characters and the dialogue, so this game definitely has it's share of cheesy laughs. The gameplay, as mentioned, is fairly simplistic but it is a tactical turn based strategy game where each unit can move a certain amount of squares per turn.
You must also capture enemy towers, buildings and so on in order to get more units and stop the enemy from building more. Your hero, Archie, also has Hero Spells that he can cast to give your units a temporary buff. You also have other cooldown based spells that you can use that you can find throughout the game world. Despite it's simplicity, Highborn is still a fun, colorful experience.
In this video you get to see the graphics options, keyboard and mouse options, as well as a decent chunk of gameplay. This shows the first 30 minutes of gameplay (no tutorial is included with the game), so you can see the basic movement controls, spells, unit and building types.
