Hill Island demo map
0I wanted a map that had hills but also allowed for giga-cities, with plenty of flat real estate.
Many maps have mountainous regions, but few have the sort of hills I have grown up with: to a certain extent buildable and accessible by road. I solved this my adding a sort of "terraced" structure. You might have to terraform to get pretty roads, but no more than Real World cities.
The starting square is fairly un-challenging: designed to have access to wind and two water-sources, as well as a possibility for forestry specialisation, a nod to the industry around my parts of Norway.
Paradox are finnish. Possibly why there is no fishing or aquaculture-specialisation, eh?
