Hitman: Contracts, or Contracts, is a video game developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive. It is the third game in the Hitman series and was released in the United States on April 20, 2004, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. The game is partly a remake of Hitman: Codename 47 and fills in some gaps in the Hitman storyline left after the first game. Many of its elements got incorporated into Hitman: Contracts. Hitman: Blood Money followed Hitman: Contracts in 2006. As of April 2009, the game had sold approximately 2 million copies.
