I think this is a completely frame-perfect thing but I cannot get it to work on the FIRST jump. It seems doable on any other jump with frame-perfect timing, but I don't know WHICH frame. I believe it involves the exact frame that Magma Man is bending his knees. Not sure if speedrunners are aware of this trick or not but it could save quite a few seconds on a speedrun. Instead of getting 4 hits and Magma Man still having 4 points of health that need to be Bustered down, this saves that step and also removes the time that one needs to pause to get back to the Buster. So all in all I think this saves around 5 seconds or more if it can be pulled off.

This is me doing the two-hit-one-shot in multiple scenarios.
