In subsequent years, successful local uprisings prompted the KPA to resort to extreme measures resembling genocide. If a city openly rebelled and conventional KPA forces failed to quell the unrest, they resorted to gassing the city from airships. By 2029, cities like Boston, Pittsburgh, and New Orleans had suffered this devastating fate, leaving destruction and despair in their wake.
