Elite Systems developed an NES version which was never released.
This game was also released for Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum.

This is some sort of updated version of Cataball (https://youtu.be/q2oDBK-8YBY).
Many many many many many thanks to minotaurus for making this longplay and writing some notes to this game (as he did with Cataball), helping us to understand an intresting story of a game that as quite to say!
Hoopin' Mad was sold as a standalone game (not included in a collection, like it was for Cataball) and has some improvements:
- 4 levels added
- better difficulty balancing (it's definitely easier than cataball)
- fixed balloons position in the submarine level (in cataball you had to be practically pixel perfect to reach the balloons)
- In cataball if you die you have to get again all 10 balloons to go to the next level; in hoppin' mad you'll continue from the point where you died (see 01:30).
Bouncing noise in hoppin' mad it's a little out of sync..

This video is part of the videogame endings database, whose goal is to catalogue and create the world's largest archive of videogame endings! (what an humble and not ambitious project :D)
