Horror in VR - RE8 Village - How to install - Lazy FOV Mod
68What an amazing game we've been all waiting to play and especially in vr.
The Full game is here and with it, a brand new vorpX profile!
So, if you are interested in trying this beauty in VR, using vorpX, there is one more thing you need to do.
The game has a default FOV of 81 which is too close and claustrophobic in VR and feels uncomfortable.
For that, I will show you how to install one of the two options available.
This one is called - Lazy FOV And Vignette Fix.
vorpX now has an official profile for the game, so jump in and give it a shot :)
How to install FOV MOD:
01. Download the FOV MOD here: https://www.nexusmods.com/residentevilvillage/mods/10
02. Unzip the file you just downloaded (Lazy FoV And Vignette Fix-10-1-0-0-1620347087.zip) to a place you'd know how to reach easy.
03. Run the file you have just extracted: Lazy_FoV_Fix_Resident_Evil_Village.exe
04. Once it is loaded it will ask you to direct it to the game's .exe file. It should be in your STEAM games library (\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Resident Evil Village BIOHAZARD VILLAGE). Select the file - re8.exe
05. The mod will create a new file called - lazy.ini
06. Close the Mod app
07. Launch the game through steam and let it load.
08. Press ALT+TAB on your keyboard to switch back to Windows explorer, launch the mod again.
09. Select these 2: Unlock FOV Range + Override Vignett.
10. Change the FOV from 81 to 127 to work nicely (Zoom FoV will change automatically).
11. Turn Vignette slide to whatever feels comfortable to you.
12. Enjoy :)
