How to use Air Link with your Quest 1 !!!

Disclaimer 02: The drop frames while in game happened since I was casting from the PC to the Quest while the Quest was casting back into the PC on top of OBS recording the same gameplay (talk about abusing my GPU) ***

Oculus version 29 is out. Some people are disapointed Air Link was not part of this update. Well, there are ways to use quest 1 air link. Stay tunes and check your two options in this video.

Steps to sideload and run Air Link on Quest 1:

01. Make sure your Oculus App is updated (v.28 minimun. Start the app on your desktop, go to Settings-Beta-Make sure Airlink is on the list)
02. Go to this website: https://developer.oculus.com/
03. Log in with your Facebook account. Click on Manage (Bottom Left)
04. On the bar under the Title - Org Manager. Click on the little arrow, then in the drop down that opens up, Click on the green Create button.
05. In the new window think of a name for your Organization. One word name (It doesnt matter what name you come up with)
06. Check the - I Understand box in the bottom
07. Click on Submit.
08. Open the Oculus app on your phone
09. Press the cogwheel and select your Oculus Quest 1
10. Press on ...More Settings
11. Press on Developer Mode
12. Make sure Developer Mode in ON
13. Restart your Quest 1 to make sure it loads as Developer.
14. You can Sideload in two ways, pick your preference:
SideQuest: https://sidequestvr.com/setup-howto
Oculus Developer Hub: https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/oculus-developer-hub-win/ (Make sure to download version 1.7.0)
15. Install either one of your choices above.
16. Download Airlink Connector file here: https://bitbucket.org/markownik/airlinkconnector/downloads/pl.markownik.airlinkconnector.apk
17. Now it's time to Sideload the file we downloaded (pl.markownik.airlinkconnector.apk). Choose which method you'd like.
-SideQuest people:
Launch SideQuest and Connect your Quest to the PC using Link Cable, Make sure you approve the connection to the PC from your Quest when prompted.
* Click on The Icon with the Arrow Pointing down to install the .apk into the Quest.
* Direct SideQuest to the location you'd Downloaded the apk file.

- Oculus Developer Hub People:
Launch Developer Hub and Connect your Quest to the PC using Link Cable, Make sure you approve the connection to the PC from your Quest when prompted.
* Click on My Device
* Go to Apps in the middle screen Menu
* In Add an APK, click on Upload and Direct Dev Hub to the location you'd Downloaded the apk file.

18. Disconnect Quest from the PC
19. Launch your Oculus App on the PC, go to Settings-Beta- and make sure AirLink is ON
20. Turn Quest on and go in your Application Library, from the drop down, choose Unknown Sources
21. In the list you should see - AirLinkConnector. Click on it.
22. A new Window would open with the name of your PC. Click on it.
23. Enjoy.
