Resident Evil Village - Demo, Horror in VR with FOV fix // vorpX
28What an amazing game we are all waiting to play in vr.
The Full game is coming out in a couple of days.
But, if you are interested in trying this beauty in VR, know that I am using vorpX to play it in VR. We all love playing Horror in VR, it is almost a must, right?
The game has a default FOV of 81 which is too close and claustrophobic in VR and feels uncomfortable. It is geniuses like FluffyQuack that make our lives so sweet. Thank you FluffyQuack! the mod works beautifully!
vorpX still has no official profile for the game, but with tweaks and tests, something is playable-ish. I am still trying to find the perfect combination. But, for now, with the FOV tweak, it is finally time to play the Demo.

This limited-time demo lets you experience a taste of the upcoming survival horror sensation, Resident Evil Village. The demo will be available for play on specific dates, within which a time limit applies on how long you can play. Don't miss out!
01. Download the FOV Trainer by the saint FluffyQuack here: https://www.nexusmods.com/residentevilvillage/mods/18?tab=files
02. Unzip the file you just downloaded (Fluffy Manager 5000-18-2-245-1620230872.zip) to a place you'd know how to reach easy.
03. Run vorpX
04. Run the Demo (For now) through STEAM
05. As the Demo is running, press ALT+TAB on your keyboard to go into the folder you unzipped the file you got from Nexus (Link in stage 01)
06. Launch Modmanager.exe
07. Choose Resident Evil 8 Demo from the list of games.
08. Choose the Trainer button from the list to the right.
09. If the Demo was running prior to the FOV trainer, you'd have an option to activate the FOV and turn it ON. Do so.
10. Change the setting from FOV 81 to what feels comfortable to you. I found 130 to be working nicely.
11. Turn Vignette off.
12. Enjoy and hopefully this trainer would work on the Full Game :)
