During the Hotel subchapter in Pittsburgh in The Last of Us Part 1 you can find a safe on the right side of that Lobby, behind the reception desk, and to open it you will need the safe code which is located upstairs.

To get there, go and grab the ladder near the scaffolding on the left side of the Lobby, and place it nearby so you can access the upper part of the room. Head to you right, cross the rubble, and get the document with the hotel's safe code from the suitcase in the floor. The code is 22-10-56.
Then, go back to the safe, enter the code, remember, 22-10-56 and you'll get access to the contents of the safe that's will help you in your journey.
