In the Second Age, Icthlarin brought the Mahjarrat to Gielinor to fight Zaros. The Mahjarrat eventually defected, siding with Zaros. Ultimately, Zaros's fall came not from without, but from within his own Empire. A butterfly-effect started by Icthlarin.
