For D'Argo's makeup, actor Anthony Simcoe was flown to London where a full body caste was taken of the actor and the D’Argo makeup was modelled to his exact proportions. Initially, the makeup and costume were extremely restrictive and so Simcoe concentrated his performance in the voice of the character. Being a talented voice actor and impressionist, Simcoe’s D’Argo voice was his joke “trailer guy” voice which he often did among friends.
