The Super Mario RPG Remake does attempt to switch combat up a bit as Mario, Peach, Geno and the gang battle Smithy's troops. What was once a very simple combat system now has a Party Gauge for triple attacks, a few harder hitting enemy moves, and some different timing pacing for veterans to adjust to.
