Discovery season 02 has finished and it made some strong attempts to fit in with the TOS Timeline throughout the show.
The overall look of the show can be excused as a visual overhaul, but it at least goes out of its way to rationalise its place in the larger Trek universe.
This video examines the repercussions of a post season 02 universe and how Discovery says it fits within the Trek timeline.
For some, it doesn't matter if it doesn't fit in, but for me, adhering to a form of overall continuity makes for a much more enjoyable watch.
I can overlook a lot of smaller nitpicks and meet the show halfway if it makes an attempt, and I think it has.

What about you?
