How I Got This Way - My Gold Stacking Journey
#stackingjourney #goldandsilver #preciousmetals
I haven't always been able to stack gold and silver the way I do today. This video goes into some detail about my life growing up, my work ethic as taught by my parents, teaching myself tennis with a racquet found in a dumpster (there's a reason I include this, keep reading), odd jobs I had during high school and shortly after high school, and what ultimately led me to my career (and a little luck).
I do not believe I became "successful" in life or career because of my race, religion, gender or any other aspect of who I am as a person other than the fact that I always showed up to work on time, looked for ways to make myself more valuable to my employer, took responsibility for my actions, took some risks, and by so doing worked my way up from a $6.00/hour job as a runner to becoming an attorney and owning my own law firm today.
I shared the snippet about how I taught myself to play tennis because it is what I have always done in life: Observe and emulate successful people, making adjustments to fit my own personality and abilities.
I ended up working anyway while I went to law school. That's how I really got started in stacking. I had a job with a local attorney, and I also bought and sold Star Wars figures from the new Episode I movie, which provided extra income to buy precious metals. That's a story for another video, however.
I define success as being happy with my station in life, regardless of financial stability. I try to live in such a way as to bless others' lives when called upon or prompted to do so. I could not and would not be successful without first, my wife, who I adore and rely on, and then my children who teach me patience and long suffering! I acknowledge God has blessed me with family first, and talents second, and that I have a responsibility to use those talents to the best of my ability to serve others.
I hope this video inspires you, whatever your position in life, to be the very best you can be. There are still opportunities all around us, and I still believe in the American Dream.
So when people ask me, "How can you spend so much money in one day on silver and gold?" My response is, "Because I've earned the ability to do so." I know I am but one in the stacking community who shares talents and treasure with others. I hope more of us will do the same!
As a note, I still enjoy dumpster diving every once in a while!
