When I’m not buying precious metals like gold and silver, I like to wander in the desert and observe wildlife such as bighorn sheep, pronghorn, mule deer, and elk. Yes, elk are original desert dwellers, and over the years they have adapted to forest living. Here I find some elk sheds from about a year and a half ago.

One of my favorite things about Idaho is the vast difference in terrain. I can be in the mountain or the desert within an hour of where I live and find relative solitude.
