9,981I met BTS in Sept 2015 and it was so wonderful but so bittersweet!!
Honestly, I wish it was a better experience and it could've been 100x better but I can't complain because FREE! [OPEN ME]
I know a lot of you like BTS and I love them honestly because of their hard work. I know a lot of kpop artists work their butts off training and practicing, but never have I ever seen a group work their pedal to the metal since I came across BTS early 2015. And I really didn't care for kpop AT ALL by that time (I fell out of it after I broke up with some friends who were really the ones who introduced me and made me feel like I needed to like it and be on top of all the kpop to impress them, which they weren't impressed with whatever I did anyway so).
Honestly, it's been a crazy two years since I discovered them and they really gave me hope when I was going through really difficult postpartum depressed and especially when my relationship with Michael was difficult too.
Not only do Bangtan speak about social issues and issues that youth today face like depression, societal pressures, alienation, loneliness, parental expectations, bullying, suicide, pain, suffering, and more, they also speak about hope, friendship, love, joy, future, hard work, and pushing through in their music.
What I also love about them is that they don't just speak about these things in their music but also speak about it through their actions. They literally work their butts off so that they can produce two albums a year, hoping to empower and encourage any people who get the chance to listen to their music. They practice like crazy so they can get better and better, they push themselves and really challenge each other through their friendships too.
I just feel so much of a resonance with them because I see that same goal and dream that we also have for the content that we create. We really wish for it to be edifying, encouraging, and empowering to all of you. I want you to challenge yourselves and work your butts off too and do your best so that we can grow and learn and become amazing people we were meant to be.
I met them via the Highlight Tour organized by TGM Entertainment and it really could've been so much better. I do hope that I will get to see BTS in a better experience when I visit my family for the first time in Korea.
Anyway, that was a lot of rambling and I wanted to rant here because the video would literally be double the long time it already is if I included it in the video omg
