This is how I work during my graveyard shifts or night shifts when I work between 10 pm to 6 am -- give or take a couple hours depending on that day's needs!
I usually sleep when regular people go to work or school, during when the kids are in school and daycare, 8 am to 3 pm give or take a couple hours depending on the day.
Ever since working night shifts to work on our channels full time, I've really been able to spend more time focused on the kids during family time in the evenings and weekends when before, it would be so hard for me to drop work during family time because I felt like I needed to keep working into the evening. It's really helped separate and compartmentalize different time slots for different focuses.
If it's easier to understand, basically I just switch work and sleep time and everything else falls the same. As for food, I eat normal people's breakfast for dinner before I sleep and normal people's dinner for breakfast after I wake up. Lunch I eat in the middle of working (:
The night shift really worked out for us especially because I was a night owl since childhood and I always had a hard time getting up in the morning. When I work at night, I can focus better because everything is silent and there are no interruptions or noises since I work best in silence.
Another thing that it helped with is when I get up after I sleep, I usually take a few hours to get to full functioning mode so spending family time in the evening right after I wake up and working after the kids sleep really helped with work efficiency since getting into my work in the morning was hard feeling groggy and out of my mind u_u
