This might be one of the most expensive lessons I’ve ever learned and I’m sharing it so you don’t make the same mistake! 💸

While filming my buddy (the wedding DJ) I was using my cell phone and didn’t realize his setup had lasers. Those lasers burned a pixel on my phone camera, leaving a permanent X. 😱 But it didn’t stop there…

Later on, my professional Sony a7s3 camera passed through those same lasers, and guess what? The sensor got damaged too—leading to a $700 repair bill to replace the sensor. 💔

Here’s the BIG takeaway 👉Lasers and cameras DO NOT mix. Pointing your camera at lasers can permanently damage your gear, whether it’s your phone or your professional equipment.

Always be aware of your surroundings, especially at events with DJs, light shows, or clubs with laser effects.
Avoid aiming your camera toward active lasers at all costs—it’s not worth the risk!
